Plastic bags takes centuries to decompose, yet we often use them only once for a short amount of time. Artist Robin Frohardt wanted to raise awareness on the problem so she started an immersive art exhibition inside a storefront called "The Plastic Bag Store" in Times Square.

Hand-sculpted items like cereal boxes, bananas and ice cream made from discarded plastic bags are put on display in the grocery store-like exhibition. The exhibition was originally planned to open last March but due to COVID-19, it could only be open recently.
