Luis Medina

Luis Medina is a contemporary abstract artist based in Santander, Spain. Influenced by his background in industrial engineering, his practice explores the relationship between structure and intuition, balancing geometric order with expressive abstraction.

Working primarily in acrylic on canvas and paper, Medina uses colour, rhythm and composition to create minimalist works that evolve organically throughout the creative process. While rooted in geometric forms, his paintings embrace spontaneity, resulting in compositions that are both considered and dynamic.

Medina has held more than 40 solo exhibitions and participated in over 20 national art competitions. His works are held in private collections throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States.
