Yeo Siak Goon
Yeo Siak Goon’s artistic style is greatly inspired by his love for nature and his fascination with tropical islands. Born in Malaysia, Siak Goon currently lives and works in Singapore, though his art has been celebrated all over the globe.
Over the years, he has represented Singapore in many exhibitions overseas in China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, France, USA, the Netherlands, and Australia.
Among his many honours Yeo Siak Goon received the First Prize in the UOB Competition (1990), Dr. Tan Tze Chor Art Award from the Singapore Art Society (1984, 1986, 2011), was highly commended in the Australian Art Competition (1985) and IBM Singapore Art Award (1987), and won first prize in the Figurative Category of the UOB Painting of the Year competition (1990).
Siak Goon’s works have also been collected by the National Museum Art Gallery, United Overseas Bank, International Enterprise Singapore, Agung Rai Art Museum, Bali, American Club, Cathay Organization, The Capitol Kempinski Singapore, Pontiac Marina, IBM Singapore and several local and overseas collectors.
