Stephanie Ho

United Kingdom based artist Stephanie Ho is recognized by her unique style of tiny human figures against a crisp white background. Stephanie exhibits regularly and is represented by galleries in the UK, Europe, US and Asia. Her artworks are shown in art galleries and collected around the world.

Born in Hong Kong in 1979, Stephanie began her training in oil paintings at the early age of 11. After graduating from the London School of Economics in 2001, Stephanie continued to explore her potential in fine art, working as an artist full-time since 2007. 

Stephanie develops her highly recognizable Lowry style paintings of tiny human figures over the years. She channels her fascination with movements and connectivities of people in her latest series. Each figure, renders in fine art and figurative strokes, captures the fluidity of life in different settings, evoking a sense of freedom and vibrant pulse of city life. Their colourful silhouettes against the stark white canvas convey both individuality and community. 

Stephanie wants viewers to focus on the details of people. The minimalist background gives viewers space for imagination, applying the contents to their own experiences. Each figure is delicately painted in oil paint using tiny paint brushes. The composition continued round the edge, adding a three dimensional element to the artwork.
