Max Kong is a Singapore-based artist whose abstract practice explores processes and the possibilities of unconventional tools and materials. Known for his bold, layered surfaces and exploration of chance and materiality, he challenges traditional methods by using customised tools and experimental techniques. A graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts with a Master of Fine Arts, his works have been exhibited internationally across Singapore, Korea, Japan, Thailand, China and New York, and are housed in collections including the Singapore Art Museum, United Overseas Bank, and the National University of Singapore. Among his many accolades, he received the Platinum Award at the 28th UOB Painting of the Year Competition.
