WOMEN IN ART
Reality is exactly how it is played, but with talks of the “male gaze” versus the “female gaze”, we can’t help but notice that there are different perspectives viewed in the eye of others.
As art is a window to the soul, what an artist sees is intoxicated with emotions felt in that moment hence reflecting a version of reality that is uniquely captured by them. So, what happens when women create Art? Will their works capture a new perspective to what we call reality?
Women are a common muse in Art, heavily featured since the past. However, more can still be done to capture the essence of a woman. There’s so much more to be learnt, to be done, to be voiced out to the public. To #BreakTheBias, let us open up our minds and view reality from the perspective of our artistic women.
